Welcome
Hi…WoW!… and welcome to MY blog! This has been a dream of mine for so long and here we are live and in person. 2020 has been a year of challenge, but with a challenge, there is the option for growth. With growth comes change! And let me tell you change is good! I’m called mommy all day long and honestly its the biggest dream come true. Becoming a mom was one of the first dreams I can ever remember dreaming. Second to that was becoming a nurse and guess what?!? I made that dream come true too!
Entering the nursing field was a goal I had set very early on in middle school. I am a Registered Nurse and I have dedicated my entire career to Woman and Infant health services. When my kids ask what mommy does for work I tell them “Mommy goes to birthday parties for work”. When you think about it that’s literally the majority of a labor nurse’s job! There is so much that goes into bringing life into this world and it has been such an honor to walk alongside so many families as they have brought life into this world.
Loving nearly all things creative and that is where this webpage & blog come into play. I wanted a central place that I can share my ideas, thoughts, life, and knowledge with YOU! If you know me you know I LIVE for pictures and now I will have a place for you to see and be a part of my creative space. This will include so many things and I can’t wait to share it all with you! We are so used to labels and boxes and for so many, those labels and boxes work and for others, there are not enough boxes to check.
Looking to explore all of these interest and aspects of myself is the reason behind building Being Mommy & Beyond. I absolutely LOVE and LIVE for being a mom yet there were so many things about myself that I’ve learned through motherhood as well as through life experiences that have made me want to challenge myself to continue to explore myself as a whole beyond the titles given to me by the ones I love the most and by my degrees and/or accolades achieved in life. And here we are!
